Description
describe the object
Warrington Colescott’s print is composed of numerous separate and overlapping scenes. In the background there is a town enveloped in red, with smoke rising from the buildings and planes flying overhead. Below the town, two corpses lie near the lower left corner of the work. There appears to be a man holding back a group of terrified people in the center of the foreground. To their right a policeman waves a baton in their direction. On the bottom right, a man in uniform is raising his right hand with an open palm. Two nicely dressed men are behind his proper left shoulder. In the top right corner there is a figure, depicted at a larger scale, with their head tilted down and hand on their forehead. A family of three stands to this figure's left.

Three female figures participate in a lively dance in Clement Haupers' <em>Hotsy Totsy</em>. The artist used a series of hard and soft black lines on a white background to illustrate these gesticulating women and their undulating showgirl costumes. In this black and white print, Clement Bernard Haupers depicts three women in front of a sign reading 'Hotel.' Standing close together, the figures form a rough triangle, with the woman in the middle standing taller than her two companions. The woman on the left looks outward towards the viewer, while her two companions direct their gaze at her. Varied markings on their clothing allude to different textures, including fur and knitted fabric. The woman on the left wears what looks to be a flower on her collar, while the woman on the right has a pearl necklace around her neck. Each figure wears a dark cap.

Description
describe the object
A part of Clement Bernard Haupers series, <em>Paris after 10 pm</em>, this nocturne scene of a lone tree growing out of a brick covered incline is devoid of any color other than black, white, and gradients of grey. To the left of the tree, stairs lead up to a street where three dark silhouettes lean on a railing. Behind them is a small building with circular lights running along the edge of the roof and a sign reading 'La Petite Chaumiere' above the door.
