Description
describe the object
Julie Buffalohead's diptych depicts several woodland creatures set against a blue monochromatic background. The painting on the left features a fox on its back holding two sticks. One has a female figure attached at the top, the other a white buffalo. To the fox's right are two owls holding pink rabbit masks. An owl wearing a pink rabbit mask, a white rabbit in a pink tutu, and a deer are illustrated in the painting on the right. The owl watches the rabbit on its right while it measures the deer's antlers with measuring tape. The deer lies on its stomach and is turned away from the rabbit. In the background of both paintings, the artist has included several barren trees outlined in white.
